I know that I'm a day late in responding. I hope that this isn't a problem. I neglected to check my email yesterday.

I'm so excited I can hardly type so please forgive me if I make any speling mustakes.

Please let me know how I can claim my prize. I hope it won't take long.

Thank you very, very much, Mr. Musa.

In Wanda's reply, I plant the seed that she works for a school for the deaf. This will make it easier to claim that she is deaf and cannot communicate by telephone. I really don't wish to telephone someone in Nigeria trying to sound like a woman.

Oops! Never gave him Wanda's address, phone number, fax number or age. Maybe I'll e-mail this guy back to give him the info. I think I'll get the deafness issue out into the open here as well.

I understand your email completely.

However, I will require some official documentation from you before I wire the insurance premium to your secretary. For instance, you mentioned in your initial email that there was some mixup of some numbers and names (the reason for keeping this confidential). Therefore, I would like signed verification from the Vandaag Lotto stating that I am indeed a winner of this lottery and the exact amount of my prize.

Also, I will require a copy of the insurance policy from the insurance underwriters. After all, surely you don't expect me to pay for something that I haven't yet seen.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Your e-mail was well understood completely too.

The mix up of numbers and names have been sorted out and duely corrected.

You will receive the insurance certificate which will include the award notification by fax as soon as you pay the fee and send me the payment informations.

You are to present the insurance certificate to the payment centre officials when they arrive so that you will be able to sign for the claim/receive of your insured winning sum.

Other lottery winners have paid for their insurance certificates which have been faxed to them.

As of today five of our lottery winners have successfully claimed/received their various winning sums.

Mind you we are not forcing you.

You have the right to decide either to claim/receive your insured winning sum or not.

If you are no longer willing and capable to claim/receive your insured winning sum kindly send an e-mail stating that you are no longer willing and capable to claim/receive your insured winning sum as soon as i receive the e-mail message from you i will have no other alternative than to REVOKE/CANCEL your winning.

All the same if you are still willing and capable to claim/receive your insured winning sum i advise you to go ahead and pay the fee and send me the payment informations so that the insurance certificate will be faxed to you which you are to present to the payment centre officials when they arrive so that you will be able to sign for the claim/receive of your insured winning sum.

However, you still haven't addressed my concerns.

Therefore I have an alternate proposal.

When the payment center officials arrive I can give them the $1550.00 in cash (what could be better). They can then contact you to verify this payment with you and you can fax me insurance certificate for me to present to them.

I consider this proposal to be reasonable as well.

Dear Wanda L. Willing,

Your e-mail was well received.

As regards the time i as the Director of promotions have mandated all the staff of vandaag lottery promotions Lagos Nigeria to make sure that they all including me work round the clock(everyday)to make sure that all of our lottery winners claim/receive their various winning sums before the end of this lottery promotions because if after the end of this lottery promotions any winner that fails to claim/receive his or her insured winning sum will no longer claim/receive the insured winning sum any longer.

We have procedures and all of our lottery winners must adhere strictly to our procedures.

The payment centre officials have no right to receive any money for the insurance fee from you.

The payment centre officials will not attend to you unless you present the insurance certificate to them.

I was informed by the payment centre that the officials by names Mr.Mark Simpson and Mr.David Bond will arrive the United States of America on tuesday so as to meet with you.

Make sure you pay for the insurance certificate on or before monday.

I repeat make sure you present the insurance certificate to them or else they will not attend to you.

Anal-Wart absolutely refuses to budge on the document issue and I can't figure out why. This wouldn't pass muster with even the most gullible of victims. Can't he find a fraudster-friend to make this stuff up for him? Seems that's all that's standing between Anal-Wart and the $1550.00.

Dear Mr. Musa,

I hope you are well.

You have backed me into a corner.

I have considered your email and have decided to proceed with the payment to your secretary in the amount of $1550.00 via Western Union.

However. It appears that there are certain laws here in the U.S. pertaining to the transfer of money to certain countries in Africa and the Middle East that were passed in the wake of the September 11 attacks in New York and Washington. Nigeria is but one of these many countries.

These laws are designed to ensure that any money transferred to these countries from the U.S. are not used to support terrorism or do not come from the proceeds of terrorism.

To facilitate the transfer of the $1550.00 to your secretary will require the purchase of an Anti-Terrorism certificate from the Department of Homeland Security. The cost of this certificate is only $2150.00 USD plus a $200.00 administration fee (valid for 6 months from date of issue).

Therefore, before we can proceed with the payment to you secretary, you will be required to pay this fee.

As soon as you wire the fee to me, I will transfer the $1550.00.

Please wire the $2350.00 via Western Union to my address which I have already given to you.

Alternately, you can simply wire the difference of the two fees to me ($800.00) and then fax the insurance certificate. This will save on Western Union fees as well as precious time.

As a sign of good faith, I will be more than happy to reimburse your company for the cost of this certificate once the check for my $1,500,000.00 winning clears.

Again, as a sign of good faith, I am willing to proceed with this transaction despite the fact that you have continually refused to honor my request for documentation pertaining to my rightful winnings.

Mr. Musa. I do not wish to delay this process any longer. Please send your payment immediately so that I can proceed with your payment so that you can proceed with my payment.

I ignore him.

Note: Even a dim-witted amateur fraudster would put together the simple documents that Wanda has requested. Indeed, a good fraud artist would have sent supporting documents prior to his victim having requested them. This way, the victim never loses confidence, never has to question the authenticity of the scammer or the scam. Conversely, this anal-wart doesn't instill confidence at all. He can't/won't even attempt to produce poorly contrived docs. Nor does he give any reason why he can't/won't. All he can do is threaten to revoke Wanda's winnings.

He'd better not quit his day job (assuming he has one).

Dear Mr. Musa

A payment in the amount of $1550.00 was sent via Western Union this morning to Mr. Peter as you have requested.

I had a bit of trouble at the Western Union office as, their policy is to limit new account holders to sending a maximum of $1000.00. But I talked the rep into letting me skirt this policy (grin).

Now you can fax the insurance certificate. My fax number is 630-XXX-XXXX.

Dear Mr. Mugu,

Time to come clean with each other.

First, here are some facts:

Your name is NOT John Musa. Nor is it David Bond or Mark Simpson.

There is no such lottery as the Vandaag Lotto. Therefore, there is no $22,500,000.00 in prize money.

There probably are persons named Osuagwu.N.Peter and Pascal Nkemakolam. Indeed, you are likely one of these persons.

You are sitting in an internet cafe reading this.

You didn't send me any phony documents to attempt to prop up your silly scam because you could not afford to produce such phony documents, nor could you afford to have them scanned or fax them to me.

Osuagwu.N.Peter is walking just fine today.

Osuagwu.N.Peter was not in an auto accident. Osuagwu.N.Peter doesn't even have the intelligence to operate an automobile, let alone the money to afford one, otherwise, he wouldn't be involved in this piss-poor attempt at a scam. This means that YOU might be Osuagwu.N.Peter.

Both you and your mugu friend each made a trip to the bank, embarrassing yourselves in your attempts to get money with phony Money Transfer Control Numbers. Seems I was far more convincing than YOU anal-dwelling mugus.

My last name isn't Willing. I don't even have a drivers license. I am a Grade 8 student doing a class project on internet fraud. My classmates think you are hilarious. So do I. I also expect to get a really good grade on this project, thanks to you, Mr. Mugu.

Well, I guess I'd better let you go. I have to wrap this game up so that I can print everything out. The project is due tomorrow. Looks like we finished just in time.

Good-bye, Mr. Mugu. It's been real. Well....not really, has it (grin).
