The e-mail here is just one type of the thousands of scam e-mail variants sent out each day by 419 scammers. If you've received an e-mail even remotely similar to the one on this page or if you have arrived at this page via an internet search, I can 100% guarantee you...YOU HAVE RECEIVED A SCAM E-MAIL!

How are you my friend together with your family,I hope all is well ,if so glory be to God almighty.I want to inform you that i have transfered the fund succesfully with the help of a new friend from Japan.I am presently in japan with him for investment purpose together with my family.
 My friend,I did not forget your effort at trying to help me at that time.So i kept a draft to the sum of  USD$950,000.00 (NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) for you as your compensation.Its a free gift from me to you.so contact my secretary,Mr Jacob Lycama,in Benin republic West Africa,on email:jacoblycama1144@yahoo.com,   Write him urgently him to send you the draft via courier service immediately.Your have to send him you contact address on where to send you the draft,or instruct him to wire the money directly into your bank.
 Finally, remember that I have forwarded instruction to the secretary on your behalf to send the draft / cheque to you immediately,so feel free to get in touch with Jacob, he will send the draft immediately to you without any delay.its as a token from my heart.

It's important to note that any real people or legitimate organizations mentioned in this e-mail have absolutely no connection with this scam!

None of the scammers use their real names.
They frequently take on the identity of real people to help them convince you that they are genuine.
Whatever these scammers tell you, DON'T believe a word of it!!!

This is just a small sampling of the many hundreds of advance fee fraud e-mails received each day here at 419 BAITER headquarters.

There are many different types of 419 scam (examples) but they all promise you something (fortune, job with salary/commision, low-interest loan, lottery prize, cheap gold dust/diamonds, work visa, etc.) in return for a small 'fee' or some kind of remittance. Of course, there is no fortune, no job, no loan, no prize to be had. It's just a ploy to get you to willingly send them money.
