Hello,

I live in Ghana, I am 24 years old and I am a national  of Sierra Leone.    With due respect, I am inquiring for your support to enable me  withdraw an amount of U.S. $14m (Fourteen million United State  Dollars) from a savings company in Ghana.

My father deposited the money in the company but the money was given  to him by his foreign business associates to be buying gold for him  bit by bit in Ghana.

My father deposited the money with a condition in the company, on the  behalf of his foreign associates.

The condition is that in case of  eventuality his business associates have the full legal right to  withdraw the money from the company.

So, please, I want you to stand as my father foreign associates to  enable me withdraw the money from the company.

You will write to the  company and instruct the manager to release the money for me. You will  have a ratio share of the money after everything.

My father suffered from stroke attack for 3 years, all assets were  sold to treat him but he did not survive it.     So, please, kindly help me.

I had been to the company to withdraw the money but the manager  refuse. He is insisting that without my father foreign associates he  will not release the money.

I am waiting to hear from you soon.    I will send you the document when I receive your reply.

Yours faithfully,

Jeffy

This is just a small sampling of the hundreds of scam e-mails received each day here at 419baiter.com headquarters.

There are many different types of 419 scam (examples) but they all promise you something (fortune, job with salary/commision, low-interest loan, lottery prize, cheap gold dust/diamonds, work visa, etc.) in return for a small 'fee' or some kind of remittance. Of course, there is no fortune, no job, no loan, no prize to be had. It's just a ploy to get you to willingly send them money.
