The e-mail here is just one type of the thousands of variants of scam e-mails sent out each day by 419 scammers. If you've received an e-mail even remotely similar to the one on this page, or if you have arrived at this page via an internet search, I can 100% guarantee you...YOU HAVE RECEIVED A SCAM E-MAIL!

It's important to note that any real people or legitimate organizations mentioned in this e-mail have absolutely no connection with this scam!

None of the scammers use their real names.
Sometimes they take on the identity of real people to help them convince you that they are genuine.

This includes every foreign contractors that may have not received their contract sum, and people that have had an unfinished transaction or international businesses that failed due to Government problems etc. We found your name in our list and that is why we are contacting you, this has been agreed upon and has been signed.

You are advised to contact Mr. Jim Ovia of ZENITH BANK PLC The African largest bank , as he is our representative in Nigeria, contact him immediately for your Cheque/ International Bank Draft of USD$500,000. These funds are in a Bank Draft for security purpose ok? So he will send it to you and you can clear it in any bank of your choice.

There are many different types of 419 scam (examples) but they all promise you something (fortune, job with salary/commision, low-interest loan, lottery prize, cheap gold dust/diamonds, work visa, etc.) in return for a small 'fee' or some kind of remittance. Of course, there is no fortune, no job, no loan, no prize to be had. It's just a ploy to get you to willingly send them money.
